My first jumper day ฉันสวมเสื้อหนาวไหมพรมเป็นวันแรก
Seasons and weather seem to be a big part of people in England. I went to work yesterday and told people I met about the first day of autumn and they all went quite solemn. People here always set store by the weather and we simply can't have a conversation without mentioning about it. I also noticed that it had got dark by half past seven last night. We still have a lovely weather though.
For example, today is a very nice autumn day, plenty of sunshine with chilly breeze in the air -- so fresh. I put on my knitted jumper and felt rather snug in it. My mother in law who is a brilliant knitter has supplied me 2 of her handmade knitted jumpers a year (one is for my birthday present and another is for the Christmas present) My husband also announced that he is going to have some baked potato tonight since he has started to feel the chill in the air and he wanted to feel festive.
By the way, I bought a bunch of Dahlia for £1.50 from my neighbour plants & flowers stall yesterday and it makes the house look very summery.
ฤดูกาลและสภาพดินฟ้าอากาศเป็นส่วนสำคัญต่อคนในประเทศอังกฤษ เมื่อวานนี้ฉันไปทำงานและคุยถึงวันแรกของฤดูใบไม้ร่วงให้คนอื่นๆฟังแล้วพวกนั้นก็ตีหน้าขรีมกันไปหมด คนที่นี่เห็นเรื่องดินฟ้าอากาศเป็นเรื่องใหญ่พูดคุยกันก็ต้องเอ่ยถึงดินฟ้าอากาศ ฉันยังสังเกตุอีกด้วยว่าเวลาทุ่มครึ่งก็มืดแล้วและกว่าฉันจะเลิกงานขับรถกลับบ้านก็มืดสนิท
แต่ว่ากันตามจริงอากาศก็ยังดีอยู่ เช่นวันนี้เป็นวันที่ท้องฟ้าแจ่มใสถึงจะมีลมเย็นพัดอ่อนๆ สดชื่นดี ฉันสวมเสื้อหนาวถักเป็นวันแรกและก็รู้สึกอุ่นสบายดีจัง แม่สามีซึ่งเป็นนักถักนิ๊ตติ้งตัวยงของฉันถักเสื้อหนาวไหมพรมให้ทุกปี ปีละสองตัว ตัวที่หนึ่งเป็นของขวัญวันเกิด ตัวที่สองเป็นของขวัญวันคริสต์มาส
สามีของฉันเองก็ประกาศว่าจะต้องกินหัวมันฝรั่งอบเป็นอาหารเย็นวันนี้เพราะเขารู้สึกว่าอากาศเริ่มเย็นแล้วและอยากจะทำตัวให้สอดคล้องกับบรรยากาศ
เมื่อวานนี้ฉันซื้อดอกเดเลียกำโตจากแผงขายต้นไม้และดอกไม้ของเพื่อนบ้านมันทำให้บ้านของฉันยังมีบรรยากาศฤดูร้อนอยู่
