Emily Sutton's postcard

I don't know why people don't write to each other anymore. Personally, I still do. Though, I have to admit that I only write to my mum and a few selected friends who appreciate writing and would write back. Most people love to receive personal letters and postcards but they don't like writing any, which is not much good. I LOVE sending letters and postcards as much as I love to receive them. I can't resist to buy some nice cards and postcards when I find any.
The other day I found some really nice postcards at my local supermarket & coffee shop and I couldn't help but buy one (as a matter of fact, I wanted them all but I had limited budget though it only costs 60p) After spent some time drooling over them, I chose the one I like best for my own selfish reason, that is to keep it for myself and not to send it to anyone (at least for the time being)

I am now using it as a decoration which looks lovely on my little cabinet. This postcard is called "Peacock's pickle" and painted by Emily Sutton (she is also a brilliant children books' illustrator, I saw some of her other works in the Country Living magazine)
I think I will eventually find the right person to post this postcard off to though. Not because I will like it less but I will eventually think it is its time to do its duty. I often do that -- I always use what I've bought sooner or later. I think it is mean to buy things and hoard as everything has its own purpose and should be used properly.
One day, I'd love to see my handwriting on the back of this postcard with the name and address to send it to and a nice postage stamp at the top right hand corner. I don't know yet how far it would travel but I'm sure after having sat and bored in my house for so long, it would not mind to see the world outside and have a little bit of adventure.
